Katie’s fascination with design started early on as a child building make-believe spaces out of household materials and re-arranging her bedroom. Later, a drafting class in high school would pique her interest and encourage her to pursue an education in the Design field. Graduating from the FIDER-accredited Interior Design program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison — and the pride of becoming a Badger alumni — proved to be an invaluable experience. Katie started her professional career with an established architectural firm in Minneapolis and worked directly with a Fortune 500 financial client providing project management for their facilities, which included tenant improvements, relocations and multi-floor new construction build-outs. This evolved into a Project Designer role for another large corporation where she produced and managed architectural drawings for tenant build-outs on a national level. Most recently, Katie has worked with a national developer/construction conglomerate providing Interior Design Development for their Real Estate endeavors, which included commercial buildings, higher education facilities and mixed-use projects.
